A serial killer is eliminating Italy’s greatest chefs. 

Every month, a starred chef prepares his last supper… only for his body to be found in the morning at the heart of a gaudy, grotesque display of criminal theatrics.

Maria Liberati, is the detective in charge of the case, she defines herself as a single mother, boring and unattractive. Her sidekick/consultant is Pietro Angelini, very much the rock star of haute cuisine, the histrionic chef who took Italy to the very top of the world’s restaurateur hit parade.

The detective and great chef work together analysing the various crime scenes, a chilling hypothesis where every murder represents a step towards a higher more complex objective and where the killer’s every action is to come up with the recipe for the perfect meal, a meal that brings him renewal, rebirth.

By taking possession of the chemical synthesis of the great maestros’ recipes, he aims to create what we may call a Supreme Last Supper.

Each episode begins with the discovery of a victim, the murders taking place on a monthly basis. Twelve episodes, like twelve apostles: a year.

The deeds of this heinous killer are at the service of an organization whose objective is to control the consumption and exports of Italian products in the wine and food sectors.
